Post Doctoral Fellowship for international young people to join CANGAROO

Two post-doctoral positions to work in ground-based very high energy gamma-ray astrophysics by joining the CANGAROO-III project which is under construction in Woomera, South Australia, are available through JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. JSPS Homepage: http://www.jsps.go.jp/e-fellow/fellow.html ) The successful applicants are expected to work with the CANGAROO group at Institute for Cosmic Ray Research, University of Tokyo (Kashiwa-campus, Chiba, Japan) for most of the time. Period : equal to or more than 12 month and less than or equal to 24 months after 1 April in 2002.

Deadline of submitting necessary documents : Well before December 3, 2001 (which is the deadline for our submission of documents)

Condition for application : to have a degree of Ph D (awarded after April 2, 1996)
  (we can proceed the application paper work if you expect to get the degree soon, but the fund will be cancelled in the case that the applicant fails to get Ph D by the arrival date.)
