CANGAROO-II 7m telescope		CANGAROO-II upgraded 10m telescope just completed

Some numbers specifying the telescope

• Parabola mirror of 10m in diameter (composite of 114 80cm-mirrors)
  [Upgraded from 7m by adding 54 80cm mirrors in 2000]
• Focal length of 8m
• Field of view of 4 degree
• Point image size of 0.2 degree at focus
• Pointing accuracy less than 1arcmin
• Alt-azimuth mount (EL: 0 to 90deg, AZ: -200 to 200deg)
• Pointing speed: 0.5deg/sec (max)
• 552-pixel PMT (1/2" diameter, Risetime 1.1ns, TTS 0.5ns) camera
• 552ch fast electronics using TKO, CAMAC, VME and NIM standards
• Gamma-ray energy threshold: 200GeV (100GeV after upgrade)
• Completed as a 7m telescope in March, 1999
• Upgraded to a 10m telescope in February, 2000
